About

Suzanne has spent her career working in the spaces where life gets genuinely hard. Before founding Mindful Balance, she worked in child protection for over a decade, sitting with families navigating abuse, domestic violence, and the kind of pain that doesn't come with easy answers. That work taught her something she carries into every session: people are more resilient than they often believe, and the right support at the right time makes an extraordinary difference.

Suzanne works with individuals, couples, and families across Ontario and the United States. She has advanced training in EMDR, one of the most well-researched treatments for trauma, alongside specialties in couples and family therapy, sex therapy, and high conflict custody/access. But more than any technique, what clients say they notice most is that she is genuinely in their corner. Direct when they need honesty. Patient when they need time.

She is particularly passionate about working with adults who've been carrying something heavy for a long time and are finally ready to put it down, whether that's the aftermath of trauma, a relationship that keeps hitting the same wall, or a version of themselves they're ready to move on from.
